<figure class="image"><img src="https://www.asu.edu.om/img/Team/waleed.alharthy.png"></figure><p>On behalf our center, staff and students, welcome to the Center for Language and Foundation Studies. </p><p>The Center for language and Foundation study is the academic heart of A’Sharqiyah University. Each year, the CLFS becomes a home for more than 1000 new students. The Center plays a pivotal role in A’Sharqiyah University’s trajectory of excellence, and it endeavors, over a period of one academic year, to equip General Foundation students (GFP) with English language, Mathematics & IT skills that remain essential for continuation and successful completion of study at college level. </p><p>CLFS offers 3 programs, namely English, Mathematics and Information Technology. In the English Program, the center offers English Language study at Pre-intermediate (level 1), Intermediate (Level 2), and Advanced (level 3). While in Mathematics and IT, the study in each program is offered at 2 levels. </p><p>CLFS combines theory and practice, and courses often include intensive practical projects and assignments to ensure students have gained the required skills, knowledge, understanding and the ability to transfer and apply them in their college study and future careers. CLFS place a strong emphasis on all skills that pave the way for the students and seemed essential to their success in their academic journey.
