<p><strong>Overview</strong><br> </p><p>The Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering program has been developed based upon the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) benchmark statements for Electrical Engineering Technology. The overall aim of the program is to deliver a high quality vocationally relevant program in Electrical Engineering Technology to prepare students for professional roles in design, development, building and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, components, and devices. It provides students with technical knowledge and understanding of concepts, theories and applications relevant to electrical engineering in building, developing, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical engineering systems. The program is designed to fulfil industry's need for licensed professional electrical engineers and technologists.</p>

<p><strong>Course Details</strong></p><p>The taught elements of the program comprise an integrated package of University requirements, College requirements, Major requirements and Technical elective courses. <p><strong>Entry Requirements</strong></p><p>Students seeking admission to this program must fulfill the following minimum entry requirements:</p><p>a) should have successfully completed the courses of all subjects of the general education diploma or equivalent;</p><p>(b) should achieve the standards set for the subjects of the General Foundation Program;</p><p>(c) should have studied subjects which qualify him/her to be enrolled in programs in the College of Engineering; Pure Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.</p><p>(d) must be medically fit.</p>
