<p>BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN CIVIL ENGINEERING</p><p>The ASU Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering program teaches students about the technology and tools required to practice professional engineering during the engineering and design of structures, transportation systems, buildings, hospitals, bridges, roads, pipelines, shopping malls, airports, and many other major facilities. The program is designed to fulfil industry's need for licensed professional civil engineers. Emphasis of the program is placed on engineering, scientific, and technical courses so that the requirements for professional-engineering licensure are met. The curriculum was chosen to concentrate on the application of engineering principles to the solution of real world civil-engineering problems.</p>

<p><strong>PROGRAMME CONTENT</strong><br>The taught elements of the program comprise an integrated package of University requirements, College requirements, Major requirements and Technical elective courses. <p><strong>ENTRY REQUIREMENTS</strong><br>Students seeking admission to this program must fulfill the following minimum entry requirements: <br>a. The student should have successfully passed the courses of all subjects of the general education diploma or its equivalence.<br>b. The student should achieve the standards set for the subjects of the General Foundation Program.<br>c. The student should have passed the following subjects to qualify for enrollment in the College of Engineering: Pure Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry<br>d. The student must be medically fit.</p>

Furthermore, there will always be great demand for qualified and experienced civil engineers to implement the nations’ economic diversification strategy and to enhance the social and economic development of the country. Graduates from the BEng Civil Engineering program will find employment involving the engineering and design of structures, transportation systems, buildings, hospitals, bridges, roads, pipelines, shopping malls, airports, and many other major facilities. They are also employed during the construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of such infrastructure facilities. Graduates from the program may pursue further studies leading to award of a Master’s degree or Doctor of Philosophy.</p>
