Said Rashid Al Harthi

Assistant Professor of Teaching Methods of English

Said started his journey at A’Sharqiyah University in September 2022 as a lecturer in the Center for Language and Foundation Studies (CLFS) in September 2022 then as a full-time assistant professor of English in the College of Arts and Humanities starting in September 2023. He worked for the Ministry of Education between 1993 and 2022 as an English language teacher and retired as the Head of the English Unit in the position of senior English Supervisor in Sharqiya North Governorate, Oman. During this period, he participated in various committees in the MOE, and attended and presented at various national and international conferences.

Ph. D in Composition and TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2020.

Master’s degree in ELT instruction and methodology from Sultan Qaboos University in 2011.

Bachelor’s degree in TESOL from Leeds University, UK in 2006.
